The Data

Downtown Crime Report

The Dallas Police Department tracks year-over-year crime data to identify trends. Crime in Downtown Dallas continues to fall through the first eight-plus months of 2025, as compared to the same time period last year, according to the above data. Overall, crime has decreased by 14%.

This substantial progress is a direct result of increased police resources and improved strategies as called for in the Safe in the City plan.

The Safe in the City campaign is committed to providing accurate data to track our progress and to hold ourselves accountable.
